Very nice Jazz

Excellent album by top notch Dutch jazz musicians! This music is timeless.

Many years ago I acquired these 5 Mendelssohn Symphonies on SACD, ripped them onto my music hard drive and enjoyed them. But I just downloaded these performances in DXD and the sonics are even more spectacular than in DSD64. Really brings these performances to life. Having great fun reacquainting myself with these performances.

Best recordings I know. Reference standard with a nice mix of different types of music.

I have listened to the Bach Cello Suites many, many times and have several recordings besides this one which I have played countless times.This recording is a fresh take on an old favorite. Both the performance and the recording are excellent. If you have any interest in the history of musical instruments then I highly recommend that you read the liner notes in their entirety as they walk you through the evolution of the cello. Well done!

As always, this recording of Northstar is of an exceptional quality. 'You are there, together with the musicians'. And Lina Tur Bonet and MUSIca ALcheMIca play with passion more being the music themselves instead of 'just' playing it. Fantastic performance, especially the Piazolla's should be heard by all.

Having owned the first-generation NADAC for five years (PLAYER 8 CH, POWER & CLOCK LN), I've just switched to the new models (NADAC D & C).

The previous one was already really good, but the new one pushes the limits of what's possible !
Every aspect of music reproduction, down to the smallest detail, and in an extremely natural way, is perfectly reproduced.
I thought I knew perfectly well certain recordings that I've been listening to for years, but these new NADACs make me rediscover these pieces of music !
Master Fidelity's development work is outstanding.

These SACDs are excellent recordings. They also cover some music genres which I do not usually listen to.
It would be useful to learn how SACDs could be listened to with a PC, The CD track is not a problem, but the SACD track requires some special software. My AK240 can play DSD files, should this be able read the SACDs?

Als o.a. een Mozart liefhebber is dit album een pareltje. Ik ga hier niet de compositie en vertaling daarvan door de musici uitleggen. Dat is voor de specialisten hierin. Maar raakt deze uitvoering mij? Jazeker!

I’ve been enjoying this superb performance of Prokofiev’s 5th in DSD256 for about 3 years. It’s become one of my favorite pieces of classical music. A roller coaster of different moods and varying dynamic contrasts. But I recently got a NADAC DAC and Click, and downloaded the DXD version, which is the “edit file.” Wow, now I am experiencing the microphone feed. A revelatory experience . Bravo maestro Gaffigan, and Bert’s deft recording technique.
